Congratulations 2009 Graduates!

Pomp and Circumstance filled the air for Tammy Lynn graduates last week.

Twenty-five More-at-Four pre-schoolers entertained their families and friends with songs and poems before turning their tassels to make the official kindergarteners. Two Tammy Lynn students, Timothy and Samantha, also completed their studies. Mary Freeman, president and CEO, said, "Although we are saddened that the students will be leaving us, we feel extremely blessed to have had each and every one of them here at the Tammy Lynn Center with us. Congratulations Graduates!"

With generous support from donors like you, the Tammy Lynn Center is able to offer specialized education to children, ages 3-22, with developmental disabilities. In addition, the Center houses two More-at-Four classrooms that provide a preschool foundation to typically developing four-year-olds allowing for an inclusive environment.

Although the school year has come to an end, teachers are cleaning the classroom, organizing toys and desks, getting everything ready for another wonderful year that is right around the corner. Celebrate Tammy Lynn's 40th Birthday with us!

The Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities is celebrating our 40th birthday this year! The Center continues to serve children and adults with special needs since started in 1969. Come celebrate with us as we gather to commemorate four wonderful decades of service in the community. The presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by performances, birthday cake and an open house.

Ride for the Tammy Lynn Center

Only 5 days till the first-ever Ride for Tammy Lynn - there is still time to register! Ride for Tammy Lynn benefits the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, which in turn supports programs and services of Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities. Bikers can participate in distances of 100 km or 50 km. Register today.

The 6th annual Tammy Lynn Golf Classic - A Challenge at the Creek will be held at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, North Carolina on Monday, October 12th.

Join us as 144 golfers gather to play on an Arnold Palmer Signature Course and compete to win the coveted TLC Golf Classic Trophy Bowl. With a challenge at every hole and raffles during the Awards Reception, the TLC Golf Classic is the best tournament around! The tournament is a great way to raise awareness and support for children and adults with developmental disabilities, with all profits benefiting the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation.
