Salem Middle School Concert Benefits Tammy Lynn

Last Tuesday, April 21st, Salem Middle School held a dance and choral concert featuring the Spartan Dancers and the Salem Blue Notes. The evening, filled with wonderful performances by these talented 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, was held in honor of Tammy Lynn Center. Through the generosity of their families, friends and the local community, the students were able to raised $685.00!

The idea to benefit the Center came from Ashlyn Herold, whose sister Meredith lived at the Center until she passed away. Although Ashlyn never knew Meredith, she holds her sister's story deep in her heart. Her fellow performers jumped at the idea to help such a worthy cause. "[The Center's] work has impacted families at our school and has touched the lives of many in our community," said Meghan Retseck, dance director at Salem Middle School. "Your service to our community inspired us to help [Tammy Lynn]."
