Day Services Manager
Minimum Education/ Experience:
Bachelor degree in Special Education and two years experience in the area of Severely/Profoundly multi-handicapped children including one year administrative experience. NC Department of Public Instruction Teacher License in Special Education: Adapted Curriculum, Cross Categorical, or Severely Profoundly Mentally Disabled. Meets NC requirements to be credentialed as a “Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional.” Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.
Brief Description of Work Performed:
Supervise day-to-day operation of the Day Services Program, i.e. preschool and school aged services, before/after school child care, etc. Maintain an appropriate and unified curriculum within the Day Services Program. Supervise and assist special education/habilitation staff in preparing appropriate individualized programs for students, including long and short-term goals. Supervise classroom management, classroom schedules and related functions necessary for a quality program of habilitation/education. Supervise, monitor and review IEP's for each student. Maintain compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations and laws. Assist with preparation of an annual budget. Maintain an appropriate and unified curriculum within the Day Services Program.
