LPN Staff Nurse
Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality nursing care to all students and residents.

Minimum Education/Experience
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.  Preference given for work experience in pediatrics/developmental disabilities or ICF/MR.

Special Qualifications
Current, validated license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina.  Current certification in First Aid and CPR.

Director of Nursing
Minimum Education/ Experience:
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with (4) years work experience. Experience must include (1) year of supervisory experience. Preference given for work experience in pediatrics or developmental disabilities. ICF/MR experience desired. Preference will be given to applicants with ICF/MR and/or CAP-MR/DD experience. Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.

Brief Description of Work Performed:
Responsible for ensuring the quality of client health services. Ensures that all health care policies, procedures and services are executed thoroughly and with a high degree of quality, including but not limited to: medication administration, treatment procedures, daily evaluation of health care needs of clients, maintenance of a safe and clean work environment. Assist in ensuring that appropriate services are provided for clients, i.e., medical, dental, pharmacy, laboratory and restorative services. Provide nursing and medical consultation for clients enrolled in all Center programs. Plan for adequate nursing coverage and participate in coverage as needed. Participate in on-call system to ensure availability of administrative consultation to nurses on 24-hour basis. Assist in ensuring comprehensive and accurate record keeping to comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations. Ensure that an accurate inventory is kept of supplies and order needed supplies in timely, accurate manner. Participate in orientation and ongoing training needs of staff. Participate with Nursing Supervisor in LPN's performance appraisals. Provide direct support of and supervision of Nursing Supervisor and conduct the performance appraisal for that position and other RN positions.
