Direct Care Positions

All applicants for Direct Care Positions must Apply in person at the Administration Building on the Main Campus - 739 Chappell Drive, Raleigh.


Community Residential Technician
Provide personal care and habilitative training to adults with developmental disabilities in residential setting.  Teach self-help, domestic, and leisure skills.  Personal care including toileting, changing diapers, skin care, bathing, feeding, etc., habilitative training of residents, light housekeeping assignments, medication administration, accompany residents on outings, routinely lift 40lbs independently and 41-140lbs with assistance.

Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.  Valid North Carolina Drivers License. Preference given to those applicants with experience working with individuals having developmental disabilities.
 
Hours/Days of Work

full time:
         Monday-Friday:  7am-3pm

part-time weekend positions:
        Saturday & Sunday:  7am-7pm
        Saturday& Sunday: 7pm-7am
        Saturday& Sunday: 3pm-11pm

Teacher's Aide

Assists in the classroom with implementation of student training programs. Meet personal care needs of each person served. Keep equipment, training materials, properly cleaned and stored. Collect and record data as specified in each student’s individualized Plan. Routinely lift up to 40 lbs independently & routinely lift from 41 to 140 lobs with the assistance of one additional person and mechanical lift.

Minimum Education/Experience

High School Diploma or GED Certificate.  Preference given to those applicants with experience working with individuals having developmental disabilities.
 
Hours/Days of Work
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Habilitation Technician
Provide personal care and habilitative training to children and adults with severe/profound developmental disabilities in residential setting.  Teach self-help, domestic, and leisure skills.  Personal care including toileting, changing diapers, skin care, bathing, feeding, etc., habilitative training of residents, light housekeeping assignments, medication administration, accompany residents on outings, routinely lift 40lbs independently and 41-140lbs with assistance.

Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.  Valid North Carolina Drivers License. Preference given to those applicants with experience working with individuals having developmental disabilities.
 
Hours/Days of Work
part-time & full time positions available

First Shift:          6:45 am - 3:15 pm
Second Shift:     2:45 pm - 11:15 pm
Third Shift:        11:00 pm - 7:00 am


Care Providers/Companions

Provide periodic in-home companionship and special care for persons with developmental disabilities in Wake County.  Training is provided.

Minimum Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.  Valid NC Driver's License.

Hours/Days of Work
Hours will vary according to needs of client and availability of Care Provider.
