Why the Tammy Lynn Center?

I had the most fortunate opportunity and wonderful
experience visiting and learning about the Tammy
Lynn Center in 2008.  I met the most extraordinary
people living and working at the center that it left
me with the want to support their mission and
commitment to caring for a unique population living
in the Triangle area.   Since that visit, I learned how
the center use to sell Clayton Fruit Cakes to raise
money through the early years to now conducting a fund raising event that allows locally owned restaurants to tout there culinary skills while being judged as the best of the best  at A Toast of the Triangle.

While the center raises awareness and funds through this event it relies on local citizens and businesses to deliver the complex services needed to build and improve the lives of our special needs population.   I was captured by the passion, sprit and commitment of the entire Tammy Lynn team as well as their deeply caring and giving souls.   To truly understand what the center and its staff are all about you must visit the center for a uplifting and eye opening experience.

I took my first tour to develop an understanding of the Tammy Lynn Center and gain a first hand knowledge of how I may help support a unique portion of our citizenry that live and work in our area.  I was touched by the unique personalities and individual traits of all the residents as well as by the engagement and social awareness of everyone at the center.  The programs; from 24/7 care to respite care and off campus housing to the More After Four afterschool care and learning program the center touches each segment of our special needs population.  Since that time I have committed my professional and personal time to supporting the center.

I strongly encourage you to learn more about the Tammy Lynn Center, its Mission and commitment to making our community stronger, supportive and a better place to live, visit our website and make a financial gift.  Be part of something special and contribute to the success and well-being of an individual with special needs.  We need your support in order to continue to provide the services needed.
